“Gently Used” or New Purse Donations to Homeless Women
Do you have a “gently used” or new purse with a zipper (preferably greater than 8.5 by 11” in size) that you are willing to donate for distribution to homeless women?
The Women’s Ministry is collaborating with UCSF‘s Division of Cardiology in an initiative to raise awareness of the impact of cardiovascular disease among homeless and under-served women by providing them with purses filled with sustainable items as well as information about heart disease in women. All donated purses will be filled and distributed to homeless women during the month of February 2016 as a Heart Month initiative to raise awareness of the impact of cardiovascular disease among under served women.
Purses will be collected on Sunday, February 14th, in the designated containers in the church vestibule, and on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the designated containers before/after Bible Study & Prayer meeting in Walker Reynolds Hall (lower auditorium). Please bring your purses for donation on Sunday Feb. 14 and/or Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 and place them in the designated containers.
